An Independent movie theater, I'll call it something crazy like The Movie Theater

3. Who is your ideal customer?

Movie lovers and casual entertainment seekers. We will show all kinds of movies so anyone can enjoy themselves.

4. What services will you provide?

Movies obviously, but we will also sell blu rays and dvd's, movie snacks, and posters

5. Are you prepared to spend the time to start a business?

Of course, I waste most of my day doing pointless things like chemistry homework and learning about algebraic functions and what not. I cant wait until I have the freedom to spend my time doing what I love.

6. What makes your business special?

AMC and Edwards primarily show big blockbuster movies but I would like to show a mixture of movies like foreign and indie movies alongside the big blockbusters.

7. Where will you business be located?

In Downtown Covina on Citrus

8. How many employees will you need?

Not too many, I will need about 8 projectionists, 10 ticket and food clerks. and maybe 2 janitors.

9. Do you plan on opening several branches of your business?

Yes, once my business is self-operating and I get a decent amount of cash flow I will open more branches.

10. What types of suppliers do you need?

I will need movies of course, then I will need to get movie snacks and then posters and dvd's in the future.

11. Will you need to get a loan?

      Yes

12. How soon will it take before your business is open?

Well there isn't a movie theater in Downtown Covina already so I will need to build one. Hopefully it won't take more than 2 months.

13. When will you start to make a profit?

I plan to make a profit around the 6 month mark of the initial purchase.

14. Who is your competition?

AMC and Edwards Theaters are the two big theater companies.

15. How will you price your product compared to your competition?

Movie tickets will be $10 for one movie, $14 for two movies and $20 for unlimited all day pass.

16. How will you advertise your business?

Have you ever seen a TV commercial for AMC theaters? No me either, that's why i'm going to bank on having little to no advertising, hopefully passing out flyers and my free showings of Star Wars on May 4th will be enough to get my name out there.

17. How will you manage your business?

For the first few years I will need to manage it, but eventually I will hire other people to manage it when I'm not there.

18. Why do you believe you can make this business work

Because its something that i'm very passionate about and I know exactly what makes a movie theater great and what makes them a drag to go to, I plan to make the movie night a weekly outing again for families everywhere.
